Yes, I am an L.A. homer in just about every way. However, my favorite player in the NBA could not be farther away from my west coast roots. I can imagine what you may be thinking, but no it is not Lebron or D. Wade. It is not even Dwight Howard, Chris Paul or Melo. The fact is my favorite player in the NBA is The most underated man in the league, and that man is David Lee of the Knicks.
I will go out of my way to get a chance to watch him play basketball the way basketball was meant to be played, with heart, teamwork and desire on a nightly basis. And he doesn't do this because he is on a title contender like the Lakers, Celtics or Cavs. Nope he does it night in and night out for the pathetic N.Y. Knicks.
This is the guy you want to have your kids watch play as you try to teach them the right way to do things in basketball and in life. Playing for this horrable team he has missed exactly 2 games in the last 2+ seasons. He has led the league in double doubles(last year) and is currently averaging almost 19 ppg and over 10rpg this season while shooting around 58%. He never takes a play off and it goes without saying he never takes a game off.
Let's just put it this way if David Lee was running for President he would have my vote if for no other reason than the fact that we could all use more David Lee's in this world!!!!
